Veterinarians and Staff
Dr. Ulrike Rudolf
I have been a veterinarian in the Puget Sound for the past 10 years. I have always loved animals from when I was a little girl on. Taking care of both the animals and the humans that love them is a dream come true. I particularly enjoy surgery, dentistry and internal medicine. I have also found complimentary medicine such as animal Chiropractic and Acupuncture to be very helpful particularly in addition to traditional western medicine.
My personal and veterinary philosophy has always been to treat animals and people with the kindness and respect we all inherently deserve. My goal for every appointment is for your pet to feel as comfortable as possible at our office and for you to go home satisfied with the information and care you and your pet have received.
I was raised in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. I received my bachelor of science degree from University of Wisconsin went on to graduate school at University of Arizona and graduated veterinary school from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.
When I am not at Cascade Pet Hospital I am spending time with my two beautiful children, husband and pet menagerie at home of 3 dogs, 3 cats, a parrot, and a tortoise. You can find us hiking on the weekends with three dogs and two kids. For personal time I love glass blowing and kayaking.
Dr. Kathryn West
We are very fortunate to have Dr. West join our practice. Dr. West has over 15 years of experience in small animal veterinary practice. She is highly skilled in veterinary medicine, dentistry and surgery. She enjoys working with dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, guinea pigs, mice, rats, ferrets, hedgehogs, frogs, and the occasional exotic pet.
Her interests include species and habitat conservation and participates in local events promoting and educating the public about these topics. Gardening for both pleasure as well as providing a space for local wildlife as well as animal welfare are also a strong interest of hers. Other interests include hiking and biking and enjoying the wonderful wild spaces of the planet.

Alex (Client Service Manager)
"I am relatively new to the world of Veterinary Medicine with an educational background in Fine Arts and a professional background in medical administration.
In 2007 I decided to pursue my life long love of animals and attended Pima Medical Institute graduating with honors as a Veterinary Assistant. I love working with animals and their owners and hope to continue my education with in this exciting field.
When not working I enjoy painting, watching movies and spending time with my own pets."
Amy
Amy has been in the veterinary field for 7 years and joined the Cascade team part time as a receptionist in July 2010. Amy has a kitty named Klaus at home. That's him there in the picture. And yes, it's true --he *is* pretty awesome.

Carla, LVT (Lead Technician)
I have loved animals all of my life, and have had the privilege of working with them since I was 15 years old, (my first job was working at a pet store). I graduated with honors from Pima Medical Institute Veterinary Technician program and have been a licensed technician since then. Providing knowledge and care for owners and their pets is the most enjoyable part of my job. I am especially interested in surgery, alternative medicine, and physical therapy.
I own two dogs, Diamond and Jamie and one cat. Kiwi (who also thinks she is a dog). When I am not at Cascade Pet Hospital, you will find me camping, hiking, or curling up to a good book.
Heather
In early 2010 I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of working with animals and I enrolled in the Veterinary Technician (LVT) program at PIMA. I began working at Cascade Pet Hospital in April 2011 and will be completing the LVT program at PIMA in September of 2011.
My decision to change careers and become a veterinary technician is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I love going to work every day and taking care of our patients, and getting to know their owners.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time at home with my husband, our dog Blue and our two cats, Kito and Mali. I also enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Tori
I have loved animals since I was a little kid. Except for tarantulas, I constantly asked my parents for every kind of pet there was. In high school after deciding that I liked my artistic side I attended Everett Community College and took a few graphic design classes. When I realized art was more interesting to me as a hobby instead of a career choice, I remembered my childhood passion and decided to pursue a career in the animal field.
After attending Pima Medical Institute and completing the veterinary assisting program in May of 2011, I came to work here at Cascade Pet Hospital with all my awesome co-workers, clients and patients! I still love animals as much as when I was kid. I love both cats and dogs, but so far only two cats (and a gerbil) own my love in my small apartment in North Seattle – Dash and Illidan. Dash is the kitty in the picture. As you can tell from his expression the vet’s office is not his comfort zone, haha!
